FD Post Canon #2- Common Tropes in Dreamer Media (Video)
This one was fun! More of a meta one to play around with ideas on what sort of tropes would be common in the more realistic media.
I’m gonna be super busy this month, making an animated trading card for the Gauntlet of the Gods 3D challenge. And then September is all about getting ready for the Top Surgery on the 16th (or rather the prep for that will go into overdrive at the end of August) so I’m not sure I’ll have anything ready for September.
Although October’s more likely. I’ll be bored while I recover, and no conventions or challenges to worry about. I have a couple ideas for what to do for the next one 😀
See you guys then!

I stumbled on this webcomic a few days ago and read the whole thing in two archive binges. I think I just understood why I got so attached to it so fast.
It reminds so goddamn much of some stuff I would do as a kid.
Starting when I was like 8 or 9 or 10, I would go on walks and just let my imagination go. I’d have a collection of worlds I’d revisit and sometimes abandon. I would walk around for an hour, or two, or three, talking to myself and envisioning things, taking more time and going further from home as I got older. I unfortunately really struggle to recall now what I was daydreaming about then, beyond a few images. I never wrote any of it down or talked about it with anyone. I still do this sometimes as an adult, but not nearly as much and I realize that it feels a bit more detached now, like I’m writing a story for someone else. The world and story you’ve made here aren’t exactly like anything I had, but the vibes were instantly familiar, if that makes sense. Fighting Dreamers is like a place I would have visited.
I hope your recovery is going smoothly and I wait to see what you will do with this project. I’m learning to draw right now and will definitely make an effort to submit guest comics should you ever call for them in the future. (… I need to go pick up some colored pencils, all I have around the house are three colored sharpie fineliners).
In the meantime, thanks for leaving a bunch of cry-in-a-good way memories where I did not expect to find them. It was nice to remember what that pure daydreaming felt like.
