Mau is also a breed cat, ironically the Mau in the Egyptian Mau’s name is the Egyptian word for cat. So, basically, the cats use bills called cats.
I think that the money names are derived from “Mouse” for Maus and “Tails” for Tils. Together – Mousetails.
