Honestly, Sandy’s expressions are my favorite.
She’s so unexpressive as it is so anything besides the deadpan is incredibly fun 😀
I must have missed some cues before, because I totally figured Patches to be a dude.
Yeah she gets that a lot, Sandy does too. I’ve pretty much accepted it by this point cause the cats are pretty neutral looking and can actually switch genders (or stay neutral) if they present as one long enough (and just switch right back if they want, DREAMSELVES BABYYY).
That being said, it always bugged me that the default thing for characters that don’t look traditionally feminine are almost immediately pegged as guys and I have a tendency to draw characters pretty neutral looking so that was a frequent problem for me for a while now and my flinch response is to aggressively defend it when it’s really not a huge deal
